Who wouldn’t want to dine out where you feel like you are enjoying your meal in the comfort of your own home? The dim lighting, warm ambiance and cheerful personalities of employees at Paesano in Manoa Marketplace gives guests that essence of a home-style atmosphere.

Sicilian Chicken ($17.90 small, $21.90 large)

“This is such a small, tight-knit community that some nights almost every table knows one another and they are all chatting together. It can be like Cheers, where everybody knows your name,” says general manager Rae Tanaka.

In honing the essence of Sicily, Paesano offers its Sicilian Chicken ($17.90 small, $21.90 large). Simple and splendid, Sicilian Chicken is an entree of pan-grilled chicken thighs, roasted potatoes, bell peppers, onions and button mushrooms all sauteed in olive oil with a perfect pinch of salt and pepper.

One of the main aspects of dining Italian style, aside from the cuisine itself, is in the conversation. Paesano provides that perfect nook to chat intimately with a date, candidly with family or, on the right evening, to shout at your neighbor who happens to be celebrating his birthday across the way.
