Let Them Eat Cake

There are no cookie cutter cakes at Napoleon’s Bakery — Hawaii’s favorite bakery. Cake artists at the various locations (including all 24 Zippy’s locations and at ACE Express in downtown Honolulu) take pride in making cakes to suit the taste of each customer. And dry cakes? Forget it! The cakes from Napoleon’s Bakery are always moist and tasty.

Decorated sheet cakes are fresh and made with quality ingredients, and are available to order throughout the year. (Napoleon’s Bakery asks customers to place orders at least five days in advance, three days for standard decorations.)

Sheet cakes are available in quarter sheet (24 pieces, $41.75), half sheet (48 pieces, $62.75), and full sheet (96 pieces, $99.50).

The decorated cakes can come in a variety of flavors such as chantilly, dobash, chocolate chiffon, orange chiffon, vanilla chiffon, haupia, peach bavarian, guava and dream cake.

If the slew of flavors don’t have you at the edge of your seat, Napoleon’s also offers standard decorations including celebration (party confetti style), roses or lei frosting in colors that fit the occasion.

Customers also can further customize their sheet cakes by uploading a photo or choosing from one of the images shown on the bakery’s website to put on the cake.

And if that’s not enough, customers also have the option of combining the standard decoration and photo cake to further personalize their tasty treat.

Napoleon’s Bakery is offering a decorated cake special for the month of April as well. Receive a 15 percent discount when ordering a decorated cake online. For the discount to apply, cakes must be ordered during the month of April and scheduled for pick up between April 5 and June 30.

Easter is around the corner and Napoleon’s is offering four special cakes to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Oreo Cookies ‘N Cream Cake ($17.95) will be available April 6. This rich chocolate cake is filled and iced with Oreo cookie whipped cream and garnished with Oreo cookies. Easter Decorated Dobash Cake ($16.50) and Easter Peach Bavarian Cake ($17.80) also are available April 6, and Easter Decorated Cupcakes ($1.25/each, $7.20/6-pack) are available April 4. (Note: Prices are higher at Pearlridge and Ala Moana.)

April also is the month for Banana Chantilly Cake ($16.50, price higher at Pearlridge and Ala Moana). This sweet treat has banana chiffon layered with custard cream, and is finished with a chantilly frosting and adorned with Rice Krispies.

Don’t be fooled, though, as Napoleon’s Bakery offers a lot more than just cakes. Sink your teeth into napples, pies, donuts, Danishes and more. Your eyes will glaze over as you look at all the a la carte pastries in the displays.

It’s almost impossible to say no to cakes (and single-serving treats) that look and taste so good, and the decor is limited only by your imagination.
