Make it an IHOP day at International House of Pancakes aka IHOP, where breakfast lovers rejoice in pancake heaven. Known for its award-winning Original Buttermilk Pancakes, it’s hard not to fill up on this authentic country flavor. However, this premier establishment, located on Ala Moana Boulevard and other locations throughout the state, also is famous for its delicious entrees and hearty American classics that span way beyond the realm of breakfast.

IHOP Hawaii not only focuses its energy on serving up good food, but also caters to the community as best as possible. For example, IHOP Hawaii president Sarah Espino believed it beneficial to lower menu prices across the board, and Sept. 630 from 1 to 7 p.m., diners who purchase one regular entree will receive 50 percent off a second entree of equal or lesser value.

“Almost all items on the menu were lowered ranging from 3 to 10 percent,” Espino explains. “We’re catering to the needs of the community by lowering our prices. More people are working hard to save money these days and by lowering our prices we are still able to bring in more guests to enjoy a meal.”

In addition to these welcome offerings, IHOP Hawaii is reaching out to Hawaii’s keiki with its Student Achievement Awards Program.

“We’re planning to launch the program later this month where we’ll work with respective schools to give out awards based on achievement, whether it be having perfect attendance or meeting the criteria for a certain project,” Espino says. “It’s really up to the teacher to decide the achievement award is really catered to the class.

“Once a month we will be awarding students with certificates, and they can come into IHOP and receive a free kid’s meal.”
