But no need to worry, soon-to-be graduates, as I Love Country Cafe has all your catering needs covered, and at the snap of your fingers!

Specializing in quality gourmet food that is both tasty and nutritious, this family-owned eatery has three convenient locations at the Navy Exchange, in downtown Honolulu and on Queen Street.

It’s the goal of owners Richard and Millie Chan, along with their daughter, Elizabeth, who serves as counsel and creative director, to provide a guilt-free homemade meal to their patrons — including vegetarians and vegans.

“We cater a lot of office parties, school events, graduations, anniversaries, birthday parties and more,” says Elizabeth with a smile. “You name it, we’ll do it.”

Millie Chan oversees all catering duties for the restaurant and is available day and night to assist customers interested in having I Love Country Cafe be a part of their next special occasion.

“When catering parties or events, we usually like to work with a budget and work with the customer to create a perfect menu,” Elizabeth says.

With a slew of tantalizing selections to choose from — Kiawe Grilled Steak, Veggie Chow Mein and fresh fruit — your party guests won’t be disappointed.

Let the festivities begin!

Fresh Fruit Platter ($55.99 medium tray)

A beautiful array of fresh seasonal fruits, usually including pineapple, melon, strawberries and grapes — a refreshing choice just in time for summer.

Kiawe Grilled Steak ($72.99 medium tray)

A special item on the menu, the Kiawe Grilled Steak is prefectly prepared on the barbecue.

“We utilize kiawe wood when we grill, so this gives the meat a great taste,” Elizabeth Chan says.

Veggie Chow Mein ($39.99 medium tray)

This vegetarian chow mein features a large portion of noodles mixed with shiitake mushrooms, Chinese cabbage and carrots, and garnished with green onions.
